Winter 2020 Letter From Reena Chandra Rajpal, Executive Director

Help us spread the word - please share this story!

Dear CBI family and friends,

I hope this newsletter finds you and your loved ones healthy, safe and in good spirits. Without a doubt, 2020 will be a year to remember. Especially for the children, parents and grandparents who we serve in low-income countries, the COVID pandemic has created unimaginable challenges. And yet, you were there when we needed you most.

You selflessly bolstered Combat Blindness International at this crucial time, enabling us to support free cataract surgeries, vision screenings, ophthalmic training and so much more in areas hard hit by the pandemic.

You also joined our virtual World Sight Day celebration online to learn about our impact, contribute heartfelt donations, and bid in our online silent auction.

We are deeply grateful for your compassionate support.

As 2020 comes to a close, we have an exciting opportunity to positively transform more lives. Thanks to an amazing matching gift from our dear friend, Diane Ballweg, you can help twice as many people conquer blindness, so they can thrive, care for loved ones and contribute to their communities.

Kindness can change lives for the better. You have the power to create a lifetime of new opportunities for so many who need our help.

I wish you peace, happiness and good health in the new year.

With gratitude,

Reena Chandra, MPH
President & Executive Director
